Hello there Malaysia still didn't lauch the yamaha Y155 VVA but in Vietnam they already launch it on 29 December 2020 but the bike released to public last week but were lucky because we have friend from Vietnam that can buy and send the bike to us in Malaysia but unfortunately we cant register to use on the Malaysian road this is because Malaysia distributor (HONG LEONG YAMAHA) doesn't launch the bike yet so what i want to tell you is we bring the bike to Malaysia for R&D for parts and accessories and of course we want it to be the first that use big tire so what you see now is only matter of time before we upgrade it so right after this we will tear it up and start the R&D and the modification let me ask for the viewer is the coverset can be use on the previos model? this is what we try to do there is a video from Rafiq when we already tear the bike apart This is 13 January 2021 today I can declare theres only 4 Exciter 155 in Malaysia two bikes is test bike at Hong Leong Yamaha there is one bike at our friend and the other one is with us this is totally new bike and not facelift model they use new chasis its a lot of different from previous model other than that the engine is different.
This time it come with 155cc and VVA system most probably this is the same engine use in R15 VVA and we can see here the radiator is so small so what can I say is almost everythings are new what can we see in front of our eyes this bike is acutally a bit bigger but it looks smaller what can we see they bring it from previous model are fork, sport rims, disc, rear swing arm and rear monoshock the other is new parts even the front brake caliper is different. previously they use the one that look like using 1 pot and this looking like 2 pot caliper the radiator cover using plastic material just like car manufacture using the engine is new for the underbone chasis 155cc with VVA system VVA works like vtec this is totally different. Even the mounting is different so now we talk about the head, light and meter there's a lot of comment that say this design is funny look like dragon etc but for me this design is nice people always complaing about yamaha looks the first time they launch it but later on trust me people will love it picture dosn't do justice to the look of this bike i want to tell you about this design.
It look similar to Yamaha M1 Motogp bike this is the head lamp this is day time running light and this is high beam lets see the tail of the bike this is my favourite part of this bike because the tail light looks like R1 and R6 so from behind this bike is so sexyyy when you are on riding position your view from here is so nice because the design feel so subtle and it comes with 12V socket everything is different here the previos model rpm cut at 10 000 rpm but with this bike it cut at 12 000 rpm okay this is the first time I ride this bike on track for standard bike we can't expect too much what we want to feel is the acceleration and agility of the bike so I'll try a few laps at Aylezo track now I pull on 2nd gear until it almost hit 12k rpm I can feel the VVA helping the engine at high rpm and braking power improves for cornering this is quite easy.
the bike feel light and nimble so that is our first test ride for Exciter GP 155 VVA and I also try my bike to compare it for small and tight corner it's much harder to control my bike compared to the 155 thank you to Aylezo giving us to use the track for testing this bike please leave a comment what shall we do next on this bike?.
